《白船》和《飞行员归来》后，罗西里尼拍了他的第三部也是最后一部***宣传电影。海军与空军之后这次是陆军，舰艇和飞机之后这回有大量镜头给了坦克、火炮和**。本片主人公是个神父，和《**，不设防的城市》一样，结局里神父也死了。只不过本片的神父为*****效力，而后一位与***员同生共死…剧情虽说伟光正（为了给敌国的新生儿做洗礼，神父冒着炮火冲出房子去井里舀水……）但总体对双方的描绘都还算富有人性，**画面拍得也还可以。但故事发生在****而通片讲意大利语，最后神父念经*率实在太高很难想象理应是布尔什**分子的**角色是如何忍受的……和《飞行员归来》一样，这部里也有使用360度旋转镜头来呈现完整环境的做法，还挺漂亮。
